Black Lace and Fishnets

As soon as Kourtney arrived at the farm for her boudoir session, we hit it off! She’s a beautiful soul who is outgoing, funny and kind. Aaannndd we scored the most incredible weather day for her boudoir session - 75 and sunny baby!

We made our way out to the yurt and after a bit of vision-casting for our session together, Kourtney took some time outside by herself to write out any fears and anxieties that might be holding her back from allowing her full self to be present during the photoshoot. Once she returned, we jumped right into shooting and let me tell you, she brought some real energy! Ya know, the Queen of Dark Romance type vibes. I loved it!! Her wardrobe for this session consisted mostly of black lace, corsets, fishnet, and heels - combined with rose petals & furs and wow! What a dreamy boudoir session!

Kourtney was so comfortable in front of the camera and made my job easy. In between wardrobe changes we took the time to chat about our lives, our journeys that brought us to where we both are now, and our hopes for the future. Kourtney shared with me that at 16 years old, she was diagnosed with alopecia and this past year she embraced it by shaving her head.

She absolutely rocks it and is an inspiration for what it looks like to lean into what society might call "a flaw" but we choose to call "a beauty mark". I was so honored to capture her beautiful story through these photos!

As we were wrapping up our session together, we took the time to have a ceremony in which Kourtney burned the paper that once held her fears and she shared aloud what has been holding her back. These fear-burning rituals are truly a sight to behold! So much power, release and healing comes through.

Always remember love, you are NEVER too much!
