Gritty & Glamorous

I’m going to start off by saying that I love my job! But you know what I love even more than my job? The absolutely incredible people I get to work with! I really mean that, I think I am one of the luckiest women in the world to have such wonderful and kind clients.

I have known Kayli since high school and we both grew up with a passion for riding and showing horses. When she reached out and wanted to do an embodiment session, I was over the moon! Not only is she stunning, she also has a heart of gold.

Kayli flew in from Arizona and came out to the farm on a nice summer afternoon for our session. She brought along a beautiful flowy black gown, her adorable turquoise cowgirl boots that she wore at her wedding and all the cute western accessories. After some vision casting, I was so excited to get to shooting!

We took full advantage of the lush green backdrops in the woods and one of my favorite settings, the daisy field - a magical spot that is even more special to me because it's where I got to marry the love of my life several summers ago. I mean come on, aren't those photos dreamy?

From there we went back up to the barns to capture the cowgirl vibes we were looking for then made our way into the cow and horse pastures for some animal loving. With Kayli’s horse background, I knew that she would be up for a few photos with our beloved gelding Cutter. I always love taking photos with horses and these turned out absolutely stunning! Horses and gowns for the win!

Throughout this shoot it was one of our goals to showcase that women can be both gritty and glamorous - pairing boots with dresses, tiaras with cowgirl hats, soft with strong. Kayli was an absolute dream to work with and I am so grateful to have had this opportunity to capture yet another beautiful woman allowing space for the inner parts of herself to be expressed.

For her burning ceremony, she had written down a few goals that she is wanting to accomplish and with Cutter’s support, we watched them burn as she released any anxieties around those goals. And what a release and new found freedom for this hard-working woman! It was truly a beautiful sight to witness.

Remember love, no part of you is too little or too much ❤️
